No one was spared, not even children, and anyone who opposed Hitler and the Reich face up harsh punishment.

The Holocaust was not the result of a power struggle between dickens opposing groups, a competition for land and/or resources, a holy crusade, or an attempt to defeat an enemy in order to win a war; the Holocaust took train simply because they were Jews (Resnick, 9). Sadly enough, this was not the first time that Jews were faced with bigotry and hatred. The nearly four thousand year experienced history of the Jewish people has suffered al close constantly from the set up of anti-Semitism, or the negative and hateful attitudes towards Jews. According to Abraham Resnick, Jews in the leger had their cities and temples destroyed by both the Romans and the Babylonians and were also slaves in Egypt (10). Also, during the crusades of the sum Ages, thousands of Jews were massacred by Christian soldiers in an attempt to annihilate all non-Christians.
