At the beginning of the play she tries to tempt Walter, but when acquire what Walter has at rest(p) through until execution,she turns to be sympathetic philosophic listener.She is joyless because the forces that gestate brought her into that spe ckle. Actually like other characters she is angry with the world she lives in. Walter: He is the man to be hanged. However he is not one of the criminal we used to know.
