Ernest Hemingway is by far one of the roughly interesting antecedents in the world. After reading A Farewell to Arms and complemental research astir(predicate) Hemingway, I was enlightened when I observed much of his work reads more like embellished autobiographies of his own life. A Farewell to Arms is a painful tale about love and war that strayed from the traditional perception that approximately wad are accustomed to reading about warfare. When the author was old teeming to join the army to fight in World war I, he was denied admittance because of poor vision. One of the main characters in the novel that reflected Hemingways beliefs the most is an American, Frederic Henry, serving as a lieutenant in the Italian Army during World War I. Both Henry and Hemingway worked as ambulance drivers during the war and at this point I think the author was drawn into it by the idea of battle.



Despite Henrys meaningless view of his purpose in the army, Hemingway was intrigued by the consummation that was taking place at the time unlike most people who want to enlist in the army to shelter their beloved country. World War One was a tragic experience for him because he saw so much demolition and horror. After Hemingway is injured, he still found ways to succeed back to the war. You are very good to say so. (Chapter 25, pg.165) What distinguishes Hemingway from other authors during that block was that he wrote about the psychological impact of that time and the reader has an opportunity to see it from various perspectives.
