My internship takes lay in a new and upcoming, well its probably already up, celestial orbit in Dallas- uptown. Its kind of the place to be as a young professional, or at least that is the demographic majority. The office is on the 7th al-Qaida in the Republic Title building in the liveliness of Uptown. When I stepped out of the elevator for the first time on the day of my interview, I knew I had stepped into another knowledge domain. When you turn to your left you are greeted by the receptionist as you walk into a waiting room supply with leather chairs, a television, and a tilt tank create into the wall. The tank is home to six or seven fish that are all worth about 300 to viosterol dollars each. Interestingly enough, these fish are the hardest to keep alive. From the waiting area you can see the main conference room with its clear sliding glass doors, long business-like table, and a view of Uptown from a widow the width of the room. The office is break up into sections depending on the departments, which include Tax, Audit, Accounting and Consulting Services, Practice Growth and commutation Administration. My desk is located just outside my supervisors office, the gracious Resources Director. Throughout my year and a half with Lane Gorman Trubitt, I have had my share of issues and witnessed many conflicts among coworkers. What I have realised is that in order to keep those quality people nigh we have to encouraging relationships not only among employees, but to a fault with the company itself. Professionals, especially the younger generation, need to feel as though they are adding value and contributing to the place they slip away most of their time.
