Because of this the banks gave loans to many people who could non cede them back. After awhile these homeowners could no longer pay their mortgages at all and their homes were foreclosed. The rate of foreclosing homes increased soon after that and the banks were not getting the money they were owed. Many banks had to hold bankruptcy because of the homeowners that were otiose to pay their mortgages. The banking crisis then started. Since many of the banks in America had to declare bankruptcy the government had to start the bank bail out. The government gave money to these banks to bail them out of bankruptcy.



The government washed-out over $700 billion dollars in the 2008 bank bailout. The main means that these two events are related is because the mortgage crisis started the banking bailout crisis.
